PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.
1. Review, underwrite and clear conditions for Government and Conventional Loans.
2. Provide strong customer service to both retail and wholesale customers.
3. Review loan files before disbursement to ensure accuracy and compliance with NDM, Investor and Regulatory requirements.
4. Maintain and monitor daily reports within LOS system, FHA Connection and other systems as directed by Management.
5. Perform pre fund Quality Control audits as directed by Management.
6. Ensure all loan files comply with RESPA, TIL, ECOA, HOEPA, 2010 GFE and other regulatory requirements.
7. Identify and report field training needs to Management.
8. Assist in the development of policies and procedures for department including desk instructions.
9. Assist in the investor and home ownership center response process.
10. Maintain consistent attendance record to ensure fulfillment of essential functions.
11. All other duties as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ten years underwriting experience with five years as a DE.
2. Two of the five years experience as a DE must be in the last 3 years.
3. Knowledge of NDM loan programs and specific Investor and Warehouse lender requirements.
4. Experience with Automated Underwriting Systems including DU, LP and Total Scorecard.
5. Working knowledge of Encompass Loan Origination System preferred.
6. Working knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Working knowledge of technology used in fraud prevention and familiarity with strategies to prevent fraud.
8. Ability to produce quality loans within tight timeframes.
